In addition to providing advisory services we are active buyers of businesses for our own account. We believe being active in the market makes us better advisors to others seeking to buy, sell or finance a business. Our experience as business owners learned over decades of success and failure has provided us with a unique perspective which we share with clients.

If you are a business owner and wish to sell your business confidentially, we can provide you with a no risk evaluation and explain how we would value your business. If your business meets our criteria we will make a firm offer within one week of completing the valuation.

Our criteria

Our investment criteria generally include the following:

Durable earnings with a proven track record of at least five years

Annual cash flow between $500,000 and $2,000,000

Existing management in place capable of continuing the business after sale

A business that is not excessively exposed to technological disruption

A business in an industry we can understand (the most limiting factor of all)

Even if your business is not a good fit for us as owners, we will be delighted to work with you to find a buyer, arrange financing, restructure debt or even work through generational transition issues.
